Dave Wetzel (1942-2024)

We mark the passing of Dave Wetzel

9 October 1942 - 26 July 2024

Dave (in the middle in this photo) shows him smiling away in Parliament in 2014. Dave fought for the rights of the underprivileged all his life. Always with a smile and charm.  

Dave was instrumental in founding the Coalition for Economic Justice in 2008, and was its Vice Chair.  Dave spoke passionately all his life on why we need to shift to an annual Land Value Tax to replace bad taxes and in order to have economic, social and environmental justice. Forty years ago, he set up the Labour Land Campaign (www.labourland.org) and we will be continuing with his life’s passion. His family will be making some of the stories Dave told in his talks around the world on public transport and Economics, into videos to publish on-line.
